Following my own advice...

Running with a jogging stroller rule #7: Always carry a tire pump!

Silly me.

My right tire looked a bit low. I do have a tire pump in the car. I thought to myself, "I should pump it up before I start".
Did I listen? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

So, I passed about 20 bikers, not a one had a tire pump. So I went only 5 miles today with a low tire. It felt like I was pushing 500 pounds!

So, take my advice and follow Rule # 7!

Keep running!

Letting the girls pick my route!

So, there was a fork in the road....I asked the girls, "should Mommy go straight up the hill (a 5.5 mile run) or the the left (a 8 mile or 11.5 mile run - pending where I turn around)?" Danielle and Allison say, "go left Mommy".
I go left. At the 8 mile turn-around spot, the girls state they want to go to the beach! OK, now this makes it an 11.5 miler trek. Anything for the girls!
Good thing it was only 60 degrees with 90% humidity. Might as well take advantage of the good weather while I can!

The bird can TALK!

The girls and I did 7.5 miles today. Nothing exciting to see on the run...but on the drive home...a man @ a used car lot had a huge parrot on his arm. I drove in, opened up the back window, and the girls got to see the beautiful big talking bird!

Danielle kept asking, "How do birds know how to talk?"
Too funny!

Alone at last....

Power has been out for the past 3.5 days. Finally back on! But on Saturday I was able to get in an 8 miler. It was 63 degrees with low humidity at the beginning! What a great run!

Summer running!

Plans for tomorrow....Run 4 miles into the beach (pushing the double jogger)...Letting the girls play @ the water park....then running 4 miles back to the car...A WIN-WIN situation...I get my run in..and they get to play at the water park! Will let you know how it actually went!

Can you say FROG!

On today's run, Danielle spotted a FROG! Mommy picked him up and the girls touched his back....Felt bumpy! Then the frog jumped into Danielle's lap and she laughed! Then into Allison's lap and she started to cry. I guess she's not into frogs yet!
